RYASAP facilitates advocacy on the part of issues that affect young people and the community. RYASAP’s Public Policy Committee, Prevention Committee and Juvenile Justice Task Force all advocate for legislative and administrative change that affects the behavioral health system, juvenile justice system, tobacco prevention, etc.Through a partnership with the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition RYASAP advocates for a broad range of issues that affect the welfare of children-poverty, education, mental and physical health, etc.
